Mudah-mudahan bisa jadi awal untuk membuat POWER METER yang murah meriah..... hasil searching di mbah Google.... mari kita review dan kembangkan.
This is one of many audio level indicator circuit. The different is that this circuit should be connected tho the output of amplifier while the other indicators connected before amplifier module. This circuit will show the real audio output by LED indicator level.
Amplifier Power Indicator circuit diagram
R1_____________220R 1/2W Resistor
R2,R5,R6,R8____100R 1/4W Resistors
R10,R12,R14____100R 1/4W Resistors
R3_____________220R 1/4W Resistor
R4,R7__________330R 1/2W Resistors
R9_____________560R 1/2W Resistor
R11____________820R 1/2W Resistor
R13______________1K2 1/2W Resistor
D1___________1N4004 400V 1A Diode
D2,D4,D6__BZX79C2V7 2.7V 500mW Zener Diodes
D3,D5,D7,D8,D9,D10 Red LEDs (Any dimension and shape) (See Notes)
Notes:
* The output power indicated by each LED must be doubled when 4 Ohms loads are driven.
* The circuit can be adapted to suit less powerful amplifiers by reducing the number of LEDs and related voltage dividers.
* LEDs of any dimension can be used, but rectangular shaped devices will be more suitable to be compacted in bars or columns.
* For a stereo amplifier, two identical circuits are required.

Sepertinya memangkas sebagian daya power amp yang dikirim ke speaker :-?
Tahun '94 saya pernah bikin mirip ini, (resistor bertingkat) tapi tanpa zener, saya tempelkan di box speaker TANG* untuk pemanis tampilan di ruang tamu :D

Kalau dulu model favorit ku pakai IC yang model lampunya seperti huruf V. Kalau IC, signalnya justru bisa di ambil dari output pre amp. jadi nggak ngganggu PA...

Saya juga pernah bikin pake IC, lampu model V, 2x5 tingkat (stereo)
Setelah itu bikin yang 10 led segaris (mono) bisa pilih point atau bar.
Kelebihan sistem IC: dipasang sebelum PA = tidak membebani out power amp.
Kelemahan sistem IC: butuh suply arus.
Kelebihan sistem resistor: mudah dibuat, tidak butuh suply, bisa dipasang di box speaker.
Kelemahan sistem resistor: membebani output power amp.
Monggo disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan saja :-bd

Mas kalau yang pakai IC yang KIT banyak di pasaran terus kalau kita kasih input rangkaian dari output ampli diseri sama VR untuk kalibrasi, yang jadi pertanyaan:
-apakah yang terukur diindikator sinyal audio atau sinyal yg lain?
-perubahan daya output power bisa linier gak sama nyala LED ?
Mohon masukan.... :-?

umumnya yg di baca adalah nada low (bass) nya mas.
kalau pakai IC, ambil aja dari input pre amp. di KIT nya sudah ada VR untuk kalibrasi yang sampeyan maksud..

Sebaiknya jangan ^:)^
Saya pernah coba pasang VR di output power amp, akan muncul percikan api di VR itu dan suara di speaker jadi ''kretek kretek'' bareng percikan bunga api. Terutama saat hentakan bass.
Cuma saran aja sih :D

Kalau disimpan di out ampli bahaya.....ngeri dong... tadinya supaya betul-betul yang terukur out ampli.
kalau diberi input dari prea amp disatuin sama input Ampli,.......daya amp bisa terukur linier?
Yang saya Maksud Linier seandainya LED ada 10bh, kalau nyala 1 LED misalkan daya yg dikeluarkan 10 Watt,....nyala 2 LED daya yg dikeluarkan 20 Watt.....dst...sampai 10 LED daya yg dikeluarkan Ampli betul-betul 100 Watt... apakah bisa linier seperti itu ?

Kalo yang dimaksud adalah akurasi perbandingan jumlah nyala led terhadap daya ''real'' power amp, sepertinya ''sulit'' ^:)^
Dari power amp saja ''sulit'' akurat, mas. :))
Contoh, power amp 100watt (tertulis di pcb) apakah benar-benar mengeluarkan daya output 100 watt? Padahal efisiensi daya power klass AB sekitar 70persen :D berbeda kelas, berbeda pula efisiensinya. Belum termasuk efisiensi trafo, hambatan kabel, dan lain-lain :D
Jadi, menurut hemat saya, cukuplah led itu mewakili perbandingan / skala output power saja. :D

Coba mudah-mudahan yg ini bisa dijadikan alternatif:
This is a simple schematic of audio power meter using LM3915 IC, this schematic can be used to measure the actual output power of your amplifier. For an audio engineer, this schematic Seems to be very helpful, especially for checking of sound system installation and field testing. Due to its logarithmic scale, the wide range of audio output with only ten scales cans Also be measured. If you take an attention to the pin number 5 of the LM3915, see That you will from the input is not yet Rectified. At this input pin, the negative swing will from the present. However, it is harmless since the current is limited by R1, the LM3915 earnest therefore respond only to positive cycle.
Note:
When the speaker resistance is 4?, then, make R1=10k?, if the resistance of speaker is 8?, make R1=8k?, and if the resistance of speaker is 16?, make R1=30k?.
The absence of peak detector or the detector will of averages give the circuit a fast reading of instantenous power, and this Gives us insight of both average and peak condition. For more readable peak or average mesurement, you cans use peak or average detector circuit.
